Nicki Minaj and Ricky Martin are the newest spokespeople for the popular VIVA GLAM line from M.A.C Cosmetics. VIVA GLAM consists of lipsticks and glasses (and now a lip conditioner!). Every cent from the sale of the products go to the M.A.C AIDS Fund. Available in store or online at Mac Cosmetics. Their ad is now appearing in magazines. They were both on the February 15th episode of Live! with Kelly talking with Kelly Ripa.

Not permanent additions, this collection will only be available for a year. A Bright Yellow Pink is Nicki’s lipstick, and a clear lip conditioner/balm for Ricky. This is the first time they have been able to offer something everyone can wear, including guys!
Viva Glam Lipstick and Lip Conditioner
Nicki and Ricky remind you to: Be Bold. Be Beautiful. Be Safe.
VIVA GLAM I was introduced in 1994, with a deep, glamorous red. In 1997, VIVA GLAM II’s pinkish mauve was introduced. Next came VIVA GLAM III, a brown plum. In 2002, VIVA GLAM IV’s rosy gold was added. VIVA GLAM V introduced a lip glass at the same time as their neutral pink lipstick. And finally, VIVA GLAM VI was introduced, a warm plum with a pearl finish.
Some of the celebrity endorses have included: Elton John, RuPaul, Shirley Manson, Mary J Blige, Lil’ Kim, Christina Aguilera, Pamela Anderson,Missy Elliott, Linda Evangelista, Chloë Sevigny and Eve. The most popular spokesperson though has been Lady Gaga. Lady Gaga and Cyndi Lauper’s campaign was the most successful ever. Viva Glam donates the most money to AIDS research.
So way back in September, Salma Hayek was on the Rachael Ray show discussing her new product line Nuance Salma Hayek (she’s been working on it for 10 years!). Apparently her grandmother was into beauty recipes and knew about exotic plants from Mexico, so she wanted to share hew wealth of beauty knowledge with other women. One of the main ingedients is called tepezcohuite, and it is used in Mexico and South America to regenerate burn victims’ skin. Its a full product line (from shampoos to lotions to makeup). She claims her products can get rid of dark circles and wrinkles. Of course, everyone likes the “pod” packaging of her lipsticks and eye shadows. They are all less than $20, but available exclusively at CVS, unfortunately there isn’t one near me!
So after discussing her products, Salma answered audience members beauty questions! So Salma made the following recommendations:
Use her Cooling Eye Gel with Green Tea in the morning to help depuff and remove shadows. Then use the Nuance Wrinkle Filler to tone and tighten (as a temporary fix). She suggested using an orange concealer (or colour corrector) instead of a lighter concealer to counteract the blue in dark circles (from your veins). Tap it on, don’t rub!
The Right Blush for Fair Skin
Use tinted moisturizer to look darker without looking made up. She suggested matching the blush to the colour of your inner mouth for a natural look.
Fuller Looking Lips
Use a lip liner in the same colour as your lipstick, which should be close to your natural colour. Take a contour cream and put a tiny amount just under your lip to give depth and bring your bottom lip forward (A New Tip to me – I love learning something new!). Put a highlighting colour just around the curves of your top lip and top with shimmery gloss.
